Horn tent specifications and configuration

The Big Horn tent, and it has six windows and two doors and a maximum center height of 7' 3, which is a tiny bit more than the average height of the 53 different 8 person tents we have studied. With 150 square feet of space inside, it is a little bit larger than some other 8-person tents, and it should accommodate you and, up to seven other campers during the 3-seasons, this tent is approved for use in, larger tents similar to this one often make a very good choice for families who like having heaps of room inside the tent.

One of the sweet One of the sweet things about cabin tents is, that the sides are near vertical creating a spacious interior, this makes for a lot more headroom at the sides inside, making it feel much larger than other types of tents, they also, have a larger sleeping area making them great for families. In general cabin tents are used by families going on a camping trip in a car or a truck as they are quite heavy when compared to dome tents. It dose though make them better suited to colder nights. Not all tents are created equal, cabin tents often have a few rooms, the same as the Browning Camping Big Horn two-room tent.

The benefits of using a horn tent

A horn tent is a type of tent that has a pointy, curved top, which gives it its name. Horn tents were traditionally made out of animal skins and bones, but modern ones are usually made out of canvas or other synthetic materials. They are used by a variety of people, including Native Americans, campers, and hikers.

Dimensions of the Horn tent

In terms of size, Browning Big Horn tent has a total gross floor area of 150 square feet (13.9 square meters), with 1.74 square meters provided per person. As such, it absolutely provides enough space to accommodate a declared capacity of 8 people, see floor plan below. For families with children, I would say it's perfect for parents with up to four children.

The tent also excels in packing size. At just 30 x 12 inches (76 x 30 cm), it looks incredible. Therefore, it can be transported on both a car and a motorcycle. Keep this in mind if you are on a cross-country trip with your group of motorcyclists.

Structure and construction of Horn tent

This is a two-room structure, see picture, each with its own separate door and a small awning. You have a total of six Windows (there are two Windows in the door). All come with mesh on the outside and waterproof panels on the inside.

The fly is the smallest by design, but it still creates the roof that partially protects the Windows, so even when it rains, some of them can remain at least partially open with only the mesh. This applies especially to Windows in doors.

Each room has three pockets. It seems like a lot, but the walls are huge and I'd love to see more. You can never have too much storage space.

All the poles are shockproof, and there are a lot of them:

From one corner to the other, you have 2 diagonal fiberglass poles.

There is a short fiberglass cross bar across the center.

Six steel poles support the roof and tent.

There are 2 fiberglass poles that create small awnings above the two doors.
